### Responsibilities
* Responds to a variety of outdoor recreation inquiries by mail, telephone, e-mail, and
walk-in visitors
* Furnishes general answers or refers to appropriate organization/individual
* Greets visitors and assists them with copies of regulations, maps, recreational pamphlets, etc.
* Sells items such as maps, recreation passports, etc.; following appropriate accounting procedures
* Uses word processing software and printing equipment to do a variety of office tasks
* Modifies form letters or composes correspondence to answer routine questions

### Qualifications
**Specialized Experience Requirements:******In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume.
**For GS-05:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-04 in the federal service. Specialized experience at this level is defined as providing customer service to the public and doing a variety of basic office functions or other directly related experience.
**Substitution of Education for the Specialized Experience Requirement****:****
For GS-05:** 4-year (120 semester hours) course of study leading to a bachelor`s degree with major study in any field.
Education and experience may be combined to meet the specialized experience requirement.
