This position will work swing shift with some flexibility in start and end times, the earliest allowable shift is 2:30pm-11:00pm. This position is also eligible for reduced tuition for some college courses for the employee, their spouse and dependent child.
* Supervising staff, hiring, determining workload, delegating assignments and work flow, evaluating employee performance, initiating corrective or disciplinary actions, verifying payroll.
* Reviews and evaluates work for quality, accuracy, completeness and compliance with safety practices.
* Manages employee coverage and cross training for all areas assigned.
* Provides support and training for employees on processes, job assignments, duties, policies and procedures.
* Overseeing and providing training on cleaning agents, products, equipment, equipment repair and maintenance, verifies that equipment and supplies are stored appropriately.
* Identify the needs of employees, coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
* Maintain building budgets including inventory, tracking receipt of product and scheduling delivery of materials.
* Maintain records and reports, verify product usage, manage inventory, order supplies and replenish stock in supply rooms as needed, verify that an adequate supply of materials are available.
* Required to attend meetings and training's as requested to support the needs of the department
Minimum Qualifications:
* At least one year's experience in all aspects of custodial work to include methods, materials, and equipment used in heavy-duty custodial work; custodial safety practices; cleaning agents and related products and their possible reactions; sanitation and infection control; using small hand tools; operating and maintaining industrial-type cleaning equipment.
* Good knowledge of: supervisory practices; training methods used in custodial work.
* Experience: preparing records and reports.
* Physical ability to: climb ladders, bend, stoop, lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 60 pounds and to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5 years supervision over at least 5 full time employees.
* Software expertise - MS Office, Quickbooks, Work managing systems - ie; FM Works, data base work.
* 2 years experience hiring others and handling performance evaluations.
* Experience managing a budget of $35,000 annually.
