This person is normally a part of the Operations & Maintenance group and will report to the Supervisor, Terminal Operations.
The Operator, under the direction of the Senior Operator and Supervisor, Terminal Operations, coordinate pipeline and terminal operations. The position will respond as needed throughout the pipeline and terminal system.
* Ensure a safe and environmentally sound operation.
* Participates as necessary during emergency drills and responses.
* Consults with other operators on an as-needed basis to understand optimization directives are understood and are being implemented.
* Supports Operation and Maintenance including Pipeline/Terminal Operators, Facility Inspector, Mechanic, Corrosion Specialist, and I&E personnel under direction from the Supervisor, Terminal Operations.
* Responsible for measurement by hand gauging and proving meters.
* Responsible for product quality by sampling and testing of products.
* Maintains logs, spreadsheets and other records using excel and word by computer.
* Updates driver, truck and carrier information in rack automation system.
* Helps drivers and trouble shoots load rack problems.
* Is involved with facility security as needed.
* Is involved with all safety programs.
* Involved with projects and issues work permits.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Entry level role requiring a minimum High School Diploma or GED.
* 2 years working in the petroleum industry is preferred.
